Illinois Concealed Carry Class
Description
The Illinois 16-hour Concealed Carry training is the mandatory course for the new CCL applicants in Illinois, spit into classroom and live-fire sessions over two days.
What the 16-Hour Course Covers:
- Firearm Safety & Handling: Basic marksmanship, loading/unloading, maintenance.
- Illinois & Federal Laws: Laws regarding concealed carry, use of force, and self-defense.
- Live Fire Qualification: A 30-round shooting proficiency test.
- Situational Awareness: Conflict avoidance and legal aspects of self-defense.
Key Requirements & What to Bring:
- Age: Must be 21+.
- FOID Card: Not required to take the class, but needed to apply for the license (or be applying for one).
- Firearm & Ammo: Your own unloaded handgun (or rent one) and 30-50 rounds for the range.
- Eye & Ear Protection: Required for the range.
